Today in History: (March 27, 1960) James Potter is born
The boys take advantage of the snow and celebrate James’s birthday in the park with their friends.
Of course Lily’s there, they also invite Frank Longbottom and Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Along with Mary MacDonald (whose bushy red hair you can see popping out from behind Alice Fortescue.) (Can’t forget Mary and Alice!)
Alice’s boyfriend, Tilden Toots stops by for a while but doesn’t stay very long. (He goes home embarrassed after he realizes he has two scarves on.)
And Peter invited Sybill!
The presence of other Sims is unavoidable, (as this is a public park.) Prof. Sprout, for example, happens to be playing chess in the park today. Lily joins her for a quick game.
A lot of chess playing goes down.
But then, we ice skate!
Which nobody’s great at!
Nobody here, at least.
But they still have fun doing it!
James and Sirius are the first to get started building a snowperson.
Which Peter ends up finishing.
And the first snowball has been thrown!
Lily and Remus come skating off the ice to see what’s going on.
But, they’re more interested in the snowman than the snowball fight and decide to build their own.
It looks exactly like Peter/Sirius/James’s, but Remus and Lily’s snowman befriends a penguin, so I guess he’s more popular.
Because James’s snowball does not seem to be leading into a snowball fight, Peter is free to go off and do other things.
But Sirius won’t let the fight die that easily!
Second time’s the charm! The snowball fight gets pretty big, and the stranger in the white coat even gets involved! (Nobody knows who he is!)
Remus jumps in and out.
But between building armies of snow people and befriending penguins, that Remus Lupin’s a busy man.
James also took breaks to do things with Lily.
But the snowball fight went on for a while!
Even late into the night!
But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
So the marauders eventually returned home.
Totally unnecessary end gif, plus two bonus pictures!
Fun Fact: I tend to take a lot of pictures of my Sims, and most of them go unused. For example, although I took almost 300 pictures of James’s birthday outing, this post still has under 100.
