The Slytherins celebrate an unconventional Father’s Day at Lucius’s house.
I kind of hate this post.
Barty and Regulus both had complicated home lives growing up, but at least they’ve always had their house elves.
(And of course, each other.)
Father’s Day was never easy for Barty
Until Rodolphus Lestrange decided to adopt him.
Ro is only a year older than Barty Jr., and clearly not his legal guardian.
Still, he’s been a better father than Barty Sr. ever was.
The Slytherins decide to spend Father’s Day at Lucius’s house. (Despite the lack of fathers present.)
Unless you’re willing to count Rodolphus.
Or his brother, Rabastan (he’s thinking about adopting a dog.)
The future dog seems like the more worthy thing to celebrate.
Because Rab would be the legal guardian of the dog that he might eventually get.
And we all know how important it is to these Slytherins that everything is perfectly legal.
Acknowledged or not, Ro still makes sure to spend some time with Barty.
And of course, he shares him with Regulus.
While Barty and Reg are off playing with their Muggle-American football, Ro tries to strike up a conversation with his problematic fav.
If only Bellatrix would acknowledge him…
Rodolphus has gotten used to people ignoring him, but Andromeda’s always there to cheer him up, (though she doesn’t believe he has any chance with her sister.)
And as much as Rabastan loves his brother, he strongly agrees with Andromeda.
Truthfully, Ro probably doesn’t have a chance with Bellatrix.
But, he’s still the “world’s greatest dad.”
Mediocre posts three Sundays in a row! Woo! My one reader will be so pleased. (Hi, Rose.)
There shan’t be a post next week because I’ll be busy preparing for my sister’s wedding, but hopefully, I won’t lose momentum.
Trying to go in a rotation: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw. (This would have been a Gryffindor post, but I wanted Barty and Ro to have their Father’s Day.)
